One of Stephen King’s finest characters, Annie Wilkes as portrayed by the amazing Kathy Bates is terrifying in Misery.

SCAR - The Lion King (1994)
[voiced by Jeremy Irons]
Well, as far as brains go, I got the lion’s share. But when it comes to brute strength… I’m afraid I’m at the shallow end of the gene pool.

KEVIN - Sin City (2005)
[played by Elijah Wood]
He keeps the heads. He eats the rest. It’s not just that wolf of his. The wolf just gets scraps…bones. It’s him. He eats…people. He cooks them like they were steaks. Now he’s got both of us. Just look at the heads on the wall. Son of a bitch. He kept smiling that damn smile. He made me watch…made me watch him…suck the meat off my fingers. He made me watch. He made me watch!
CYRUS “THE VIRUS” GRISSOM - Con Air (1997)
(played by John Malkovich)
Diabolical and manipulative, John Malkovich’s Cyrus Grissom is a convict to watch out for. Ruthless and clever, he orchestrates a prison break in mid-air, going to so many lengths including threatening to shoot a stuffed bunny (oh, the atrocity!).
COMMODUS - Gladiator (2000)
[played by Joaquin Phoenix]
Devious and driven by ambition, Joaquin Phoenix’s Commodus is a villain we love to hate. Phoenix performs this role with great tenacity, and his character’s willingness to stoop to dishonorable means just to get what he wants makes us root for the good guys even more.

JOHN DOE - Se7en (1995)
(played by Kevin Spacey)
Probably one of the most spine-chilling, blood-curdling scenes in film history is the scene where Se7en’s twisted serial killer, John Doe, taunts Detective David Mills (Brad Pitt). Whenever I think of this movie, I think of this scene - one we can aptly call the “What’s in the fucking box?” scene. Kevin Spacey is absolutely diabolical in this film, and his role as the arbiter of the Seven Deadly Sins could possibly even rival Anthony Hopkins’ Hannibal Lecter, don’t you think?
100 Awesome Movie Villains
T-1000 - Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991)
(played by Robert Patrick)
This Terminator is a tough one to say “Hasta la vista” to. Impossible to penetrate with weapons or any ammunition, the T-1000 can walk through walls, adopt the physical appearance of anyone it comes in contact with, and transform its limbs into various sharp objects. Robert Patrick is cool as steel in one of his most memorable roles. Anyone who can manage to look cool despite that hairstyle has got some serious skills.
PENNYWISE - Stephen King’s It (1990)
(played by Tim Curry)
To this day, this clown gives me nightmares. I suppose it serves me right for daring to watch Stephen King’s It at a pretty young age. Nothing gets you to the top of the Awesome Movie Villains list than taking what was a harmless carnival character and turning him into movie viewers’ worst nightmare.
